This is what we call consumer fraud.

Okay... so here it is... i went and scoured all of the interviews i could find and quoted some very (now humorous) lines... here they are

"Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Preview"
g4tv.com/games/xbox-360/45765/operation-flashpoint-dragon-rising/index/

Sion Lenton: exec producer

"going to be ABLE TO INTERACT WITH EVERYTHING in that world"

"the sandbox environment as well, so the whole island is COMPLETELY OPEN just like the original flashpoint... sort of the things that made it so unique was the fact that YOU COULD GO ANYWHERE."

"eh for me it's like giving the player the choice to do a mission whatever way they want to do it"

"but this isn't your traditional corridor shooter where you're kinda being told go over, here look at that, do this press this button. It's COMPLETELY OPEN. You can do whatever you want."

Um... i'm pretty sure this is exactly what it is... a corridor shooter... except you can stand here instead of over there if you want... you still need to go to the same places and kill the same things

Nota: OPF (1), ARMA(1) y ARMAII si cumplen eso... :eh:

"well i've got to say the biggest thing for me is the streaming technology we use to have this 220 square kilometers of enviroment in memory at all time is unique and it's the same on the console"

"yep yep, i mean it's COMPLETELY OPEN. if you see a jeep parked over there you can get in that jeep, you can get in that jeep. Helicopters, tanks, ALL THE VEHICLES ARE USABLE."

If you can find them and it's within the "AO".... which is almost non-existent!

"Exclusive Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Direct-Feed"
g4tv.com/games/xbox-360/45765/operation-flashpoint-dragon-rising/index/

Sion Lenton: exec producer

"here on skira, 220km2 of explorable terrain, COMPLETELY FREE ROAMING"

"ALL of the vehicles are usable"

at 9:36 in this video it shows the exec producer shooting and a squad member walking in front of his can... him shooting his teammate in the head LOL "ah i shot my own guy... it's ok... he ducked"... no he didn't LOL

"sandbox tactical shooter"

"All Access Preview- Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising"
g4tv.com/games/xbox-360/45765/operation-flashpoint-dragon-rising/index/

Adam Sessler: X-Play host on G4TV

"it promises to be bigger and better than ever"

"unlike most other fps's out there, the usmc have a vast open-world to play on, there is no linear line to follow. you either have the choice of obeying orders or leading your own rebellion and blowing S**t up A-Team style

Clive Lindop: Lead AI Designer

"when it came to looking at doing the sequal, umm it was very much about focusing on you know... what people wanted the game to be"

"there's nothing to stop you from ignoring the mission entirely and point in a direction and keep going... you'll find the rest of the war is out there and happening. we really didn't want to try and tell the player how to play the game... it's pretty much your strategy... you learn how to fight in that real-enviroment... it's about what it's like to be a soldier... you have to figure out things for yourself and develop your strategy... you don't get helpful hints as to what to do and where to go... so when we say sandbox WE REALLY MEAN IT.

"Operation Flashpoint: DR Mark Turosz Interview"
gametrailers.com/video/mark-turosz-operation-flashpoint/55668

Mark Turosz: Global Brand Manager

"what makes OFDR different from other first person military shooters is first the sheer scope of the game. It is the largest Open-World battlefield there is. You CAN battle across all 220 square km of skira. Every single inch is at your disposal."

In the video he says that both MP game modes are both called "anihalation" LOL... this video was posted early september AFTER the game was supposed to release... and when he was talking about what is really called infiltration he said it was 2 USMC teams vs 6 PLA teams... this alone tells you how much time they really spent on multiplayer... especially seeing as the game was supposed to release PRIOR to sept.8th when the video was posted... and at the video he even says the delayed shipdate oct 6th... which means this video was taken after the delay... not just posted then

"the game world is so huge that you're absolutely going to need vehicles to get around... i mean you can walk, if you want to. I've been told it takes like 6 to 8 hours to walk across the island."

"you can jump into jeeps, choppers, boats. If you're taking a lot of fire there are armored assault vehicles... you know... the kind that stormed the beach at normandy on d day. You can jump into those and take a ride. You can also comandeer one of these massive Armored assualt vehicles and start using the fire power as well.

The game's producer plays this infantry mission at the Codemasters August 09 showcase event in London.

Sion Lenton: exec producer

"this is the fully playable island. this is why we rely on and are very proud of the ego engine. this is 220 square km that you can play on. YOU CAN RUN FROM THIS SIDE OF THE ISLAND IN ONE SITTING TO THIS SIDE OF THE ISLAND but it will take you about 9 and a half hours. so what we recommend you do is FLY ONE OF THE ATTACK CHOPPERS YOU SAW EARLIER ON. They're the fastest vehicles um in the um... game... and it will still take you between 12 and 16 minutes. To fly from one side to the other.

Wow... they even admit to not working on bug finding LOL

Sion Lenton: exec producer

"we're still in development... we're nearing the end... but it's something that we're testing more and more. we're finding we're getting drawn into playing it a bit too much and NOT BUG FINDING at the moment on the uhh multiplayer.

Now onto something separate...

Who else believes that a franchise sequel is supposed to have at least the same amount if not more 1. content 2. features 3. work put into it ?

Why are we playing 11 short and unvaried missions compared to the original 30 campaign missions that spanned the currently promised three types of gameplay (Ground, Air, Armor)?

Why are we playing 6 "bonus code" single player missions which also don't have the variety of the original 15 instant action missions that again had all three facates of gameplay that this current gen game promised?

Why isn't "free roam" in the game (every map has a limit to how far you can go) even though they distinctly say you CAN go from one end to the other and even describe how you should do it (in an attack helicopter which you can't find anywhere in the game unless you shoot a pilot and try to get in but it won't let you even though they claim every vehicle can be used... and yes this has happened to me)?

Why are they allowed to have admittedly not have spent much time on the MP and still get to release an unplayable online game?

NOTA: Aquí mejor no digo nada que los de Bohemia y los bugs es un caso grave aparte  :D

The only parts of this game that look like time was spent on them were the graphics and sound (which both are great)... everything else was complete hodge-podge and straight out lies.

Any one else think the original with 10 year old pc graphics was a better overall game... you know... Operation Flashpoint Elite?
