Electronic Arts ha distribuido tres imágenes de la próxima entrega de NFS, que ha sido bautizada como Need for Speed Carbono. Está previsto que el juego salga a fianles de año para prácticamente cualquier formato imaginable (esto es: DS, GBA, GC, PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, Xbox, y Xbox 360) y que cuente con un modo denominado "Autosculpt" para permitir personalizar nuestro coche.
