REDWOOD CITY, Calif., September 23, 2003 – Electronic Arts (Nasdaq: ERTS) today announced the release of The Sims™ Double Deluxe, the ultimate compilation of the top-selling PC franchise, The Sims™. The Sims Double Deluxe delivers the original #1 PC game of all time, The Sims, as well as The Sims™ Livin’ Large and The Sims™ House Party expansion packs in one value-packed product. With the most Sims content ever assembled in one place, there has never been a better time to join The Sims phenomenon.
The Sims, which originally launched in February 2000, is the wildly popular game that allows players to create a neighborhood of simulated people known as “Sims” and control their lives. The Sims Double Deluxe combines the full version of The Sims with the first two expansion packs in the series, The Sims Livin’ Large and The Sims House Party. The Sims Livin’ Large allows players to put their Sim families into zany situations and settings. Its content adds dozens of extreme items to the game including a home chemistry lab, heart shaped bed, and crystal ball, as well as a cast of wild characters such as the Grim Reaper, Genie, and Tragic Clown.
